Studio76 is presenting 'Hannibal Inside,' a crime thriller series about an amnesiac surgeon and the organ-trafficking ring he once led, at the Taiwan Creative Content Fest in Taipei. The project, which is currently in pre-development, marks the third major international market selection for the studio.

The series is adapted from the novel 'The Monster Community,' which producers acquired from Kadokawa Taiwan. The team has finished full episode outlines and is now writing scripts. The story follows Owen, a sashimi chef in Keelung, Taiwan, who lost his memory in a car crash two years ago. His past as the chief surgeon for a syndicate called Undercurrent returns when his street rescue video goes viral.

Undercurrent sells organs to wealthy global buyers and is led by a figure known as The Professor. An assassin named Jiang Xu is sent to force Owen's memories back, while Detective Lin identifies him as the prime suspect in a series of murders. Lin's son requires a heart transplant, adding personal stakes to the investigation. After his girlfriend Xi-xi is killed, Owen travels to his hometown of Songkhla, Thailand, to seek revenge.

In Songkhla, Owen meets police captain Xu Zhi-rou, whose father he previously saved. The narrative eventually moves to a luxury cruise ship where billionaires bid on living people based on organ compatibility. Producer Dennis Yang stated the team combined the book's serial killer plot with real news reports on black-market organ trading. Yang described the subject as a high-risk underworld rarely explored with emotional depth in Asian series.

Director Ray Jiang focused the project on questions of human value. He noted that society often judges people by their contributions or morality. Jiang argued that every life is valuable because of a person's own journey, and that no one has the right to judge another's worth. Yang called the series an ambitious crime thriller with strong potential for the global market.

Yang said the selection for this year's TCCF is a milestone for the company. Two earlier Studio76 projects, 'The Brides Town' and 'The Swamp Thing,' were chosen to pitch in person at Series Mania in Lille, France. The team aims to connect with IP investors, streamers, distributors in Europe, and co-production partners in Asia at the market.

Yang expressed hope that the festival will help bring the story to a wider global audience and maximize the project's international IP potential. The Taiwan Creative Content Fest is organized by the Taiwan Creative Content Agency. It runs from Nov. 6 to Nov. 9 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center.
