Roseville claimed the Metro Maroon subdistrict title on Friday night with a 24-14 victory over Coon Rapids. The result concluded the regular season for the Raiders, who finished with a 4-4 record. This is their best finish since 2017. Senior quarterback Chase Browning led the offense with 162 passing yards and three touchdowns. Browning described the win as an amazing feeling after a hard season.

The outcome places Roseville in the Class 6A playoffs. The team ends its regular season campaign with a winning percentage that reflects its improved performance over the past eight games. The subdistrict crown serves as the primary qualifier for the postseason bracket in the east metro region.

Other teams in the conference also secured advantageous positions for the upcoming bracket. Centennial defeated Anoka 38-6, a result that likely guarantees the Cougars a No. 3 seed. Anoka allowed only six points, the fewest it has conceded all season. Mounds View took the Metro East title by beating White Bear Lake 22-16. Quarterback Tanner Jude scored on a one-yard run with 65 seconds left, and a two-point conversion gave the Mustangs a six-point lead. Preston Johnson intercepted the final pass to end the game.

Forest Lake running back Mack Jurkovich finished the season with 1,600 rushing yards. He gained 245 yards and scored two touchdowns in a 31-13 win over Stillwater. The victory locks in a No. 2 seed for the Rangers. Jurkovich has committed to play for St. Thomas next year. Park beat Eastview 18-10, with receiver Manny Vargas scoring twice, including a 75-yard punt return.

East Ridge closed its season with a 42-31 win over Woodbury. Logan Tretter rushed for two touchdowns, and Elias Mather returned an interception for a late score. These results determine the final seeding for the east metro teams in the Class 6A tournament.

The most dramatic finish of the night occurred in the south metro. Lakeville South kicker Dylan Nelson made a 36-yard field goal with one second left. The shot gave the Cougars a 17-14 upset victory over Rosemount. The win complicates the seeding picture for teams in that region as they await the final playoff brackets.
