That is the recurrence rate Vanessa Trump reported on Friday. The 48-year-old former wife of Donald Trump Jr. said her recent test results came back clear, meaning she is now cancer-free.

She shared the update in a short video posted to the Instagram account of her 19-year-old daughter, Kai. In the clip, Trump stated that her tests "came back clear, so I'm finally cancer-free." She has five children with Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald Trump.

Kai Trump noted in the post caption that the video serves as a preview for a longer YouTube release scheduled for Saturday. In that upcoming feature, mother and daughter will discuss breast cancer awareness and prevention alongside Dr. Nicole Saphier. Kai wrote that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a period dedicated to early detection and support for those affected by the disease.

The post quickly gathered more than 20,000 likes and hundreds of comments from followers offering well wishes. Among the respondents was Mary Millben, an American singer and media personality.

Trump revealed her initial diagnosis in May. At that time, she wrote on social media that she had undergone surgery and was working with her medical team on a treatment plan. She stated in Friday's video that she was first diagnosed in April.

The American Cancer Society reports that the average risk for a woman in the US developing breast cancer is about 1 in 8, or 13%. The group also notes that the disease accounts for 30% of all new female cancers each year. While surgery cures most cases, treatments like chemotherapy and radiotherapy can lower long-term risk for any remaining disease.

Trump separated from Trump Jr. in 2018. Last year, she announced she had begun dating US pro golfer Tiger Woods.
