A cold front crossing Colorado on Friday, October 23, will end a brief warm spell in Pueblo and push weekend temperatures down by approximately 30 degrees.

The city is forecast to reach a high of 80 degrees and a low of 52 on Friday, according to local weather data. Morning temperatures were expected to start in the 50s before clouds broke to allow afternoon warming. This marks the final day of above-average heat for the region before the front arrives.

The atmospheric shift will bring increased cloud cover and a rise in precipitation probabilities. On the southern side of Pueblo, the chance of rain on Friday is estimated between 10% and 20%. This probability will increase substantially over the weekend as the front generates storms farther south. Along Interstate 25, sunshine was expected to appear around 10 a.m. as morning clouds dissipated. The advancing front may support thunderstorms in eastern areas and along the southern stretch of the interstate.

Temperature declines will be sharp across the region as the front moves through Friday and into Saturday morning. Saturday’s high in Pueblo is projected to reach only the 50s. Colorado Springs is forecast to top out at 73 degrees with a low of 47. In Canon City, afternoon showers are possible, with rain chances between 20% and 30%, a high of 75, and a low of 49. Woodland Park will see a high of 58 and a low of 39, while the Tri-Lakes area around Monument is expected to hit 69 with a low of 43.

Southern locations such as Walsenburg and Trinidad will reach 73 and 74 degrees, respectively, with lows of 49. Friday is the warmest day in the coming week for these areas before highs drop into the 50s. The eastern plains may see thunderstorms return by Friday evening after a sunny start, with afternoon temperatures in the 70s and 80s. Mountain areas will see highs in the 60s and lows in the 30s, while lingering moisture and flooding risks persist in southwestern Colorado.

Conditions are set to stabilize next week, bringing sunshine and gradually warming temperatures into the 60s. The preliminary outlook for Halloween indicates dry weather and temperatures in the 50s and 60s, though this forecast may be subject to change.
