Once Upon a Farm is pulling every variety of its Tractor Wheel bars from shelves across the United States. The company announced the voluntary recall on Monday following reports that the baked snacks blocked the airways of young children.

The recall covers all flavors, package sizes, and production batches. No specific expiration dates are excluded. The affected items include Apple, Sweet Potato, and Spinach; Strawberry, Pumpkin, and Beet; and Banana, Pumpkin, and Cauliflower varieties.

The Food and Drug Administration issued the warning after receiving multiple reports of complete airway obstruction in children. According to the agency, the product reportedly forms a dry, sticky mass when chewed. Standard choking interventions, including back blows and the Heimlich maneuver, may fail to dislodge this mass. Some incidents required emergency services and hospital observation.

John Foraker, the chief executive of Once Upon a Farm, stated that the company is reformulating the bars. He said the goal is to ensure the products meet the highest standards. Foraker noted that the company’s mission is to improve child nutrition by doing the right thing for customers.

The manufacturer disclosed in a statement that it received three specific reports regarding the choking risk. The FDA did not release a total count of the complaints it received. The bars are sold in most U.S. supermarkets and retail stores, including Walmart, Target, and Costco. They are also available on Amazon.

Consumers should not open or eat the recalled items. The company advises customers to return the products to the point of purchase for a full refund. Alternatively, shoppers can contact care@uponafarm.com for assistance. No other products in the Once Upon a Farm line are affected by this action.
