Alfredo Ríos, known professionally as El Komander, broke his silence regarding the death of his infant son on October 31, 2026.

Ríos, 43, canceled a scheduled performance in Nuevo León, Mexico, on the same day to attend to his family. The cause of the baby's death was not immediately disclosed. Ríos is from Culiacán, Sinaloa, and is a leading figure in the Movimiento Alterado music scene.

The singer had seven children, including Anahí, Kenia, Alfredo, Emiliano, Alejandro, Vicente, and Perla, whom he kept out of the public eye. According to Infobae, the birth of his youngest child was known only to his close circle. The family held funeral services for the infant on October 31.

Later that evening, Ríos posted a video on Instagram showing white balloons floating in a clear sky. He wrote, "Te amamos, mijo, todos. Gracias por todo." This followed earlier images from the wake where he displayed floral arrangements and added, "Dios te recoja chaparrito, te amamos mucho."

The singer's social media posts marked his first public comments since the sudden loss. The funeral took place hours before his tribute video went live. Ríos continues to manage his family's private affairs while fulfilling remaining professional commitments.
